Reports came in between 4:30 PM and 4:36 PM. A hail report always names the largest stone an observer found, not the average size that fell across every roof in Monument.

Monument took the day’s last act. Three hours after the midday storms, a new cell fired on the Palmer Divide and dropped everything in a six-minute window between 4:30 and 4:36 PM — 1.50 inches at Palmer Lake and again a mile north-northeast of Monument, with one-inch hail in town. Short, sharp, and confined to the Divide: the I-25 corridor south toward Colorado Springs reported nothing.

Is it too late to check?
